Perfect Set For My Bedroom
- Pros: Great price for a 32" 120Hz LCD HDTV.
Excellent picture quality and dynamic contrast.
Plenty of input connections.
Simple user-interface, and a lot of video adjustments.
Great for Blu-Ray movies, Hi-Def TV, and gaming.
- Cons: The volume is quite sporadic, depending on your connection. For example, when it's plugged into my coaxial antennae (OTA HD) or into a PC (via VGA & 3.5mm audio jack), the volume is incredible low even at 75-100%. When it's connected to my gaming consoles (Xbox 360 & PS3) via HDMI, the volume is too loud at 35-40%.
The remote is pretty generic and leaves plenty to be desired. You'll most likely want to use a universal remote instead.
- Other Thoughts: Just to clarify, for the commenter below, the TV is 120Hz, just not for PC connections. Via HDMI, component, and coaxial inputs, you can run videos at 120Hz. It's only when you connect it to a PC via VGA, it only runs at the standard 60Hz.
120Hz for gaming is quite controversial. I always disable it when playing any FPS on the 360 or the PS3. For movies, it's great, though.
This TV had all the specs I was looking for, at a great value, and it fits perfectly in my relatively small bedroom.
Awesome set
- Pros: AWESOME picture quality, smooth movements on screen. Dynamic contrast ratio is amazing. Even anhances standard definition. Menu is very clean and easy. Just the right size for a home desktop monitor.
- Cons: NOT ACTUALLY 120HZ!!! This screen only accepts a 60Hz input and only emulates 120Hz. DO NOT BUY THIS SCREEN IF YOU WANT NVIDIA 3D VISION, IT WON'T WORK.
- Other Thoughts: Although this set looks amazing and worth the money it is not actually 120Hz which seems a bit like false advertising to me. Other than that I don't have any regrets buying this lovely LG set knowing that I can enjoy it for years to come.
